Brandon Davis came from a humble beginning, born in Elk City, OK, and growing up in rural western Oklahoma in the 80’s/90’s. Started his first job at the age of 13 and hasn’t stopped since. After a couple of failed partnerships, Brandon landed on his feet raising money for oil and gas development in the 2000’s. In 2010 Brandon acquired Swan Energy, Inc. from his friend Carl Swan. “I learned my biggest lesson from Carl –Humility–,” Davis said. “He’s been at the top … and the bottom but he’s always been the same person.” While in Oklahoma, Brandon’s startups and partnerships cover a wide range of industries from Nutrition 53, with former NFL linebacker Bill Romanowski, to ownership of Swan Racing while competing in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series from 2012-to 2014.
Brandon also applied his unique hands-on approach to Oil & Gas Asset Clearinghouse, LLC, which he acquired in 2016. In 2015, The Denver Business Journal honored Brandon with the “40 Under 40” award, recognizing him for both his professional success and his involvement in Denver-area charities. Davis’s community efforts tend to focus on children and their needs.
He’s been involved with groups including the Denver Children’s Home, Denver Active 20-30 Children’s Foundation and Oklahoma’s Special Care Foundation, which helps kids with special needs, specifically speech, behavioral and physical therapy. “Brandon’s contributions made a significant impact on our campaign to raise $5 million to fund a 20,000 [square foot] addition to Special Care’s existing building and enable us to increase enrollment from 175 special-needs children to 220 children,” wrote Joe Dan Trigg, founder of Special Care. When the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut happened in 2012, Davis owned a NASCAR team (which shut down in 2014) and was preparing to enter his first Daytona 500. He used the race as an opportunity to raise money to help victims’ families. Mr. Davis and the Swan Energy family of companies actively support several charities, including the Juvenile Research Diabetes Foundation, The Special Olympics, The Kempe Foundation, Engineers Without Borders, Arms Wide Open, Fort Bend Women’s shelter, The Periwinkle foundation, and Child Advocates.
